ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join BlackAndCamping for an end of the summer camping event at McCoys Ferry Campground.

Location - Clear Spring Maryland

Date - September 25th 1pm to September 27th 12pm

Cost $20 per person 

The McCoys Ferry Campground is located at Mile 110.4 on the C&O Canal Towpath, between the towns of Big Pool and Big Spring on the Maryland side of the Potomac River and a short drive to West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

The campsite is a drive-in with four picnic tables, grill and fire pit. Protected pit toilets and accessible portable toilets and Potable hand pump water are available. The campground has a boat ramp for easy access to the Potomac River for kayaking, fishing, boating and jet skiing. Indian Springs Wildlife Demonstration Area

Fort Frederick State Park

The centerpiece of the Fort Frederick State Park is a unique stone fort that served as Maryland’s frontier defense during the French and Indian War. Built in 1756, the fort's stone wall and two barracks have been restored to their 1758 appearance. Historic exhibits are in the fort, barracks, Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Museum and visitor center.
